The Intermodal Association of North America is the trade association representing the combined interests of the intermodal freight industry. IANA’s goals include promoting the benefits of intermodal transportation to the shipping community, providing its members with a forum to discuss common issues and innovations, fostering its members' professional development, participating in governmental proceedings impacting the industry, and informing and educating lawmakers and other public sector representatives about intermodalism.
